Operating Rules for Single Girder Crane
a. For single girder overhead cranes with a driver’s cabin, the driver shall inspect the hook, steel wire rope, safety devices and other components in accordance with the requirements of the daily inspection card before starting work. Any abnormality found shall be rectified immediately.
b. For floor-controlled single girder overhead cranes, a dedicated person shall conduct inspection per shift as required by the daily inspection card, and eliminate any abnormal conditions in a timely manner.
c. The operator may close the main power supply only after confirming that no person is on the walkway or rail. If the power circuit breaker is locked or fitted with a warning sign, the main power can only be switched on after the lock or sign is removed by the original authorized person.
a. When lifting a heavy load for the first time per shift (or when the load reaches a specified weight), lift the load about 0.5 meters off the ground, then lower it again to check the braking performance. Normal operation can only proceed after the brake is confirmed to be reliable.
b. Strictly implement the Ten No-Lifting Rules:
Do not lift if the command signal is unclear or the command is disorderly;
Do not lift when exceeding the rated lifting capacity;
Do not lift if the lifting sling is improperly used or the load is not firmly bundled and hung;
Do not lift if there are people or loose articles on the suspended load;
Do not lift if the brake or other safety protection devices malfunction;
Do not allow direct machining on workpieces suspended by the crane;
Do not lift by inclined pulling or slanting hoisting;
Do not lift explosive articles;
Do not pull or lift objects buried underground;
Do not lift angular and sharp-edged articles without protective padding.
c. If any abnormal condition is found, stop the machine immediately, cut off the power supply, check the cause and eliminate the fault promptly.
a. Raise the hook to a safe height, park the main crane at the designated position, set all controller handles to the zero position, pull down the isolating switch and cut off the power supply.
b. Carry out daily maintenance and upkeep.
c. Complete shift handover formalities.
